A Whale of a Summer: 2022 Whaling Days and Kitsap Fair & Stampede

Silverdale’s Biggest Summer Festivals are Back for the Summer of 2022 and Putting on a Whale of a Show!

First, the annual Whaling Days Festival is on from Friday, July 29 (with Fireworks at dusk), to Sunday, July 31, when the Silverdale Rotary’s signature fundraising Duck Race will take place.

Next, the 2022 Kitsap Fair and Rodeo will welcome back the best carnival in the Northwest!  Funtastic Shows will be providing the carnival and games.  You are familiar with their safety and quality standards if you have adventured to the Washington State Fair.

All rides and games will be in one designated area so your family of all ages can enjoy the fun together.

Big Run and Big Fun at Whaling Days and Duck Race

The Big Duck Race will be held by Silverdale Rotary on July 31 with the typical excitement of racing rubber ducks and fun prizes. Tickets for the race can be purchased at locations around Kitsap County including at Quality Heating. For a full list, visit http://silverdalerotaryduckrace.com.

“The sponsorships that make the race possible have been incredible. There are lots of prizes, with a new Nissan truck for the top prize.” said Christie Scheffer, Duck Race chair.

All money raised from the purchase of racing rubber ducks goes to local charities. In 2019, the last year the race was held, the race raised $62,000 in net proceeds, according to organizers. The goal is to top that number in 2022.
