A gas-powered Furnace, or an electric-powered Air Handler (we hear you Bainbridge Island), when combined with a Heat Pump or Condenser, is often the most energy-efficient solution for those who live and work in the cool , rainy winters and mild, breezy summers that make Kitsap, Pierce, Jefferson and Snohomish Counties such a wonderful place to  live and raise a family.

The most common  source for modern furnaces in North America and much of Europe is natural gas; other common fuel sources include LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), fuel oil and in rare cases coal. In some areas electrical resistance heating is used, especially where the cost of electricity is low or the primary purpose is for air conditioning. Modern high-efficiency furnaces can be up to 98% efficient and operate without a chimney, with a typical gas furnace being about 80% efficient.

"The Coleman Echelon™ Series products are known for their technological features that improve noise reduction and overall efficiency. They have SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) ratings of about 16.4, which is on par with most top-tiered brands but much better than all older models. We like that Coleman’s lines are more stylish and quiet than other brands, and the warranty on most of its products is 10 years, or even lifetime for some models."

Forbes Magazine
"The furnace and smart thermostat has been a very satisfactory purchase. In our last home we had a Coleman furnace that was 47 years old and had very few problems. Still working at this time, that is why we love the Coleman products. The contractor was very professional and listened to what we wanted and worked it into our budget. "

"Daikin, other than having reliable products, also offers technology with features that stand out in the market when compared to other companies. Their variable-speed motors, insulated holding sections, stainless steel construction, compatibility with other Daikin appliances, etc. make their furnaces some of the best on the market"
